Georgia prepares for President’s Cup
The President’s Cup is coming to the Gwinnett Arena the weekend of June 12-14, 2009. This is a senior level competition that will bring in nationally ranked athletes from across the country. Because this event is a point level event, athletes placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will earn points on the national roster. The President’s Cup is a USA Judo sponsored event and many of our elite level athletes are expected to compete.

Novice: Youth White & Yellow division, Senior White to Green
Youth Competition: 11 AM Start Time
Divisions: 5, 6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 (By entry
Senior Novice Competition: 2PM - Weigh-in: till 12 noon
Masters Competition: 2PM – Weigh-in: till 12 noon
Age Divisions start at 30, with 10 year increments
Senior Advance Competition begins at 3:pm
RULES: IJF (Modified), No blue gi required, have white & blue belt
Tournament System: Double Elimination.
Matches: 3 minutes Youth & 3 min Masters,
5 minutes Seniors & IJF. No Shime Waza allowed under 13
No Kansetsu Waza under 17
